Strength, persistence, patience, dedication, and ambition—these are the guiding principles that helped me build my business from the ground up, driven by a true love for being a student of life. I hold an A.A. in Liberal Arts/Social Sciences from Rowan College of South Jersey (Class of 2017) and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies from Rutgers University (Class of 2019).
My spiritual awakening occurred in the summer of 2020, just before I began my Master’s program, which, as you can imagine, was overwhelming. At the time, I was pursuing my MEd in Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University, where I also served as president of my student organization leaving the program with a 4.0 GPA in 2021. During my time at Widener, I excelled academically and demonstrated strong leadership skills, well on my way to saying, “She MASTERED it.”
However, the Divine had other plans for me, and my focus shifted rapidly toward more non-traditional, unconventional, and taboo areas of study. My intention was to integrate my practical, spiritual, and academic experiences to fuel my hunger for universal wisdom within the metaphysical and occult sciences. As I surrendered to my path, the pieces of my story began to align.
While I explored many different avenues, I developed a deep passion for Numerology and the topic of Death. I am a self-taught Pythagorean Numerologist and later studied Chaldean Numerology through The Numerology School, earning my certification as a Professional Numerologist in May 2022. Through this journey, I also discovered my passion for supporting others around the topic of death and dying, creating safe spaces for awareness and healing. In the fall of 2024, I completed my Death Doula certification through End of Life Psychedelic Care.
At my core, I am a lifelong student, always seeking to learn and evolve. I invite you to join me in exploring the universe and ourselves through diverse teachings, studies, concepts, and perspectives!
From the ages of 6 to 17, I lived as two different people. My name is Jewell, pronounced “Jew-ell,” but to the outside world, I was often addressed as "Jewel." For most of my life, my birth name cast a shadow over my true self, spoken only correctly by my family. Out of insecurity and a deep-seated aversion to my birth name, I allowed others to call me Jewel. I viewed it through the lens of immaturity, wrongly perceiving it as a male name, something akin to "Joel" or "Jo-el."
Looking back at my journey, I see myself as a caterpillar gradually transforming into the butterfly I am today. I developed a profound connection with death, rebirth, and the cycles of transformation. I learned that I had the power to release, create, and recreate any aspect of myself—including my name.
"JewJew" is my nickname, derived from my full name, Jewell. "Juju" draws from time-honored African traditions—rites, practices, and objects that summon the power of ancestral spirits to manifest change. By blending these African principles with my own authentic flair, I birthed the name and the business, Juju with JewJew: Black Girl MAGIC!! ✨
